Afrofuturism: Breakdown of Black Panther, intergalactic

Black Panther: The Intergalactic Empire of Wakanda

Afrofuture at it’s best.  It combines a number of African cultures, languages, God/Goddess systems, and many other cultural references.  We see some of the main players:  T’Challa, Nakia, and M’Baku battling as an alliance in space against the Manifold and his Askari soldiers.  T’Challa, Nakia and the Maroons struggle to get a grasp on the nature and intensity of the attack – ultimately commanded by N’Jadaka.  There is a strong mention of 5 years at one point, nastalgic of the blip/dusting/snap.  There is also a direct showing of the Black Panther as the Avatar of Bast, one of the latest trends in Marvel screen adaptatoions such as Moon Knight being the Avatar of Khonshu.  The spear of Bashing, N’yami’ds death

N’Dajaka visits the Orisha Gate, Bast turns into a woman and speaks with him.  The conversation takes a turn and it is revealed the N’Dajaka wants to take over!  They battle and Bast gets the best of N’Dajaka, biting him viciously.  The blood enters her mouth and it is she that was tricked.  His blood kills her.  N’Dajaka becomes the leader of the Gods and the others salute him.
